About the role:

The Human Resources Coordinator  performs a range of HR administrative and coordinating duties in support of the HR function for their assigned client groups. The duties include day-to-day support for benefits administration, health and safety, disability management, HR Compliance, vendor correspondence, and special project support.

Hybrid: Mississauga office 2-3 days weekly. 

A little more about the role and responsibilities:

Cultivates a positive experience for employees by managing day-to-day inquiries for benefits, health and safety, leave of absence, and related areas. Administers benefits enrolment, changes, terminations, invoicing, reconciliation, administration, and general inquiries. Coordinates with our 3rd party leave management vendors to ensure accurate service levels, reporting, data tracking, communication, and employee follow-up. Assists with research, and response preparation for basic legislative inquiries and/or claims. Supports HR leadership through active participation in meetings and other project assignments. Identifies emerging issues or trends and escalates for HR Implementation and Compliance Manager. Supports with regular audits of internal processes and records to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Assists in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures to support organizational goals and compliance.

Job Requirements:

Degree in a relevant discipline such as Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety, Disability Management, or equivalent work experience. Postgraduate diploma or certificate in Human Resources or related field preferred. 2-5 years of HR experience, ideally in retail, sales, or multi-unit operations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong time management and interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Commitment to personal growth and continuous improvement. High level of personal integrity and a positive, supportive attitude. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work independently with support.
