Property Management company currently has a Human Resources Coordinator position available at their Head Office located in **Mississauga**.

The Human Resources Coordinator reports to the Human Resources Generalist. This role will be responsible for coordinating and administering responsibilities for a wide variety of activities in some or all of the following functional areas: HRIS, employee relations, recruitment and selection, administration, health and safety, etc. The Human Resources Coordinator must be able to complete their daily duties while multi-tasking efficiently and attending to unexpected developments as they arise.
- Post-secondary or graduate program with Human Resources focus.
- 2+ years experience working in Human Resources administration.
- CHRP/CHRL designation(s) or working towards is an asset.
- Property management and/or real estate industry experience is valuable.
- Working knowledge of HR best practices and applicable legislation.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and administration skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to prioritize and work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Solid knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office Suite.

**The Human Resources Coordinator has a wide array of diverse duties and responsibilities which must be performed daily. Here are the outlines of the Human Resources Coordinator’s responsibilities (including but not limited to)**:

- Obtain direction from the Human Resources Generalist and report back as needed.
- Develop a good working rapport and work in a professional manner with employees within the organization.
- Monitor HR mailbox, and ensure employee questions are addressed, recorded, and/or directed promptly.
- Oversee the maintenance of employee files and ensure accurate and timely recordkeeping.
- Participate in the recruitment and selection process, including drafting job descriptions, reviewing resumes, conducting in-person interviews, administering skills testing, maintaining various summaries, and participating in weekly staffing meetings.
- Coordinate the onboarding process for new hires, including arranging for company equipment/workstations, validation of new hire forms (e.g. work permits, tax forms, special circumstances, etc.), and ensure timely communication with other departments related to new hires, transfers, and other employee changes.
- Maintain company HRIS and update as required for various employee lifecycle changes, including acting as the primary contact for user maintenance and support inquiries.
- Coordinate and approve employee time off for short-term requests, including reviewing balances and entitlements, and ensuring adequate coverage is assigned.
- Communicate coverage schedules and ensure that all relevant parties are properly informed of any changes.
- Process payroll and benefits for corporation employees, including the collection and verification of timesheets, benefits policy set-up, maintenance, responding to inquiries, etc.
- Assist company employees with benefits enrollment, maintain provider database, and respond to all benefits-related inquiries.
- Support the Human Resources Generalist with the annual performance appraisal process, including preparing various communications, and reporting.
- Participate in various Health and Safety activities and initiatives including JHSC, recording and posting H&S meeting minutes, maintaining H&S board, conducting workplace inspections, and ensuring company employees are familiar with company policies and procedures, etc.
- Conduct exit interviews and report findings to the Human Resources Generalist and VP of Administration and Human Resources.
- Assist with temporary staffing needs by contacting and working with Temporary Staffing Agencies, including validating timesheets for payroll.
- Conduct various audits, as required, for both company and corporation employees.
- Assist with preparing drafts of various HR policies and procedures with the direction of the Human Resources Generalist and VP of Administration and Human Resources.
- In partnership with the Marketing and Communications Department, participate in the organization of various company events and activities, including the coordination of gift cards, flowers, etc.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
