Festival of Israeli Culture Coordinator

The Jewish Community Centre of Greater Vancouver, is seeking a temporary coordinator to organize and manage the Festival of Israeli Culture, taking place in Vancouver during the week of May 20-26, 2024. Reporting to the Senior Director of Programs, the coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing and managing events related to the festival.
The Festival of Israeli Culture is a multi-day event, involving a variety of community stakeholders, artists, vendors, etc. It showcases and celebrates the many aspects of Israeli Culture, drawing in both the Jewish Community and the public at large.
The Coordinator will have experience planning and marketing multi-day community events. The coordinator will also have budget management experience as well as experience working with sponsors and/or donors.
The hours for this position at the time of posting are part-time and flexible in the months of Feb-Apr and full-time during May 2024. However, the scope of the festival may increase if additional grant funding is received. If additional funding is secured the hours of the overall 17 week contract will likely be increased to manage this increased scope. The JCC is hoping to have more information from the funder by the time interviewing begins.
