Your Opportunity:

This is an exciting leadership opportunity with the Community Audiology Services- Edmonton Zone. Community Audiology Services provides standard audiological assessment and follow-up for individuals from 6 months of age to adult across multiple sites in the Edmonton Zone. Reporting to the Manager, Allied Health Community, the Audiologist II-Team Lead is responsible for supporting service delivery and leading the Audiology team according to department values and priorities within a multidisciplinary context. Key responsibilities include providing clinical leadership in planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical services, and support to frontline staff leading meetings and completing clinical evaluations and working with the Allied Heath Community Manager to support performance feedback, providing coaching, mentoring, and work planning to support staff to meet standards of AHS service delivery requirements. This candidate will act as a change agent with the teams to facilitate and support the change process, as necessary, as well as direct clinical service delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with the Allied Health Community leadership team to support staff in the provision of seamless, high quality and sustainable patient care. This position is primarily based out of Fort Saskatchewan Community Hospital and the Leduc Community Health Centre (although other base locations may be considered) and supports staff and services across the Edmonton Zone.

Description:

As an Audiologist II, you will be responsible for advancing front line Audiology clinical practice, ensuring it is consistent with current professional practice evidence. You will lead staff in providing safe, quality services with delivery based on population needs, and program parameters and in adhering to Alberta Health Services (AHS) standards, guidelines, policies and procedures. You will also assist with coordinating daily operations by collaborating with stakeholders and supporting the supervision of students and other healthcare practitioners. You will participate in program development, implementation and evaluation as well as provide leadership on department, program and service committees.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Audiology. Active or eligible registration with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Additional Required Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Connect Care and/or EMR is considered an asset. Training and experience in implementing HealthChange Methodology principles is an asset.
