JOB SUMMARY:
Our Corporate team in our Cambridge Division is currently looking for a bright, ambitious IT Client Support Technician Co-op who enjoys collaborative teamwork and has a love for desktop computing technologies. You will gain hands-on experience supporting our userbase with troubleshooting current computing hardware and software technologies. You will represent a crucial part of IT’s ability to deliver value to our customers and business partners.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Imaging and configuring computers with commonly used software products such as Windows, Office, Solidworks, VPN, JDE etc.
Provide remote Service Desk (using teams or telephone) and onsite Deskside support for computer hardware, software and telephone systems.
Windows account troubleshooting such as password resets, account lock outs, enabling/disabling accounts using Azure AD.
Moves/Adds/Changes (MAC's) of computer equipment, PC's, monitors, printers and telephone as well as desk setups for onboarding/offboarding employees.
Conference room preventative maintenance and maintenance for TVs, projectors, and other AV equipment.
Computer virus and malware removal and administration.
Printer/photocopier service administration support requests.
Network troubleshooting, connecting cables to switches, ensuring network drops in office and on shop floor are enabled.
IT asset tracking, inventory, e-waste of PC hardware and peripheral equipment.
Assist in providing support for virtual machines in VMware horizon client and VMware workstation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Perform duties in a safe manner in accordance with ATS's Health and Safety policies and procedures.
Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Enrolled in a post-secondary technology program leading towards a diploma, or equivalent, specializing in computers, desktop engineering/support, networking or information systems.
Prior work experience, such as co-op placements are beneficial, but not required.
Additional Information
Experience:
Troubleshooting skills for both PC hardware (memory, CPU, power supply, graphics) and software (Active Directory, Office applications, Exchange/E-mail); virtual desktop infrastructure.
Developing knowledge and experience with the latest Windows desktop operating systems as well as the use of PowerShell scripting, Microsoft SCCM/Endpoint Manager or similar technologies.
Knowledge of iOS & iPhone as well as MDM platforms like InTune would be an asset.
General network communications knowledge with switches, routers, TCP/IP, wireless.
Experience with printing and audio/video systems would be an asset.
Excellent communication skills with ability to interact confidently at multiple organizational levels.
Good analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
Detail oriented and organization skills.
Ability to interact in a multi-disciplinary, face-paced team environment.
