What this role is all about:

Beem Credit Union is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Website Project Lead (Temporary months) to spearhead the planning, development, and launch of our new website. As the Website Project Lead, you will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure project success and alignment with our organizational goals. This role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Burnaby Corporate office or at our Kelowna Corporate Office . What you’ll do:

Project Planning


• Develop and manage a comprehensive project plan for the start-to-end development, transition, and launch of the new website.
• Identify and manage potential project risks, developing strategies and contingency plans to mitigate them.
• Partner with stakeholders to balance user-business requirements, ensuring critical value for website users.
• Prioritize user feedback and validation in the iterative design process to meet user and business needs.
• Apply critical thinking and insights-based analysis to ensure business requirements align with the website's vision and are phased for on-time delivery.
• Manage the budget to balance cost-effectiveness and project requirements while delivering value.


Technical Proficiency


• Automate data in-and-outflows for lead attribution management, user attribute-based content personalization, and conversion optimization.
• Possess deep understanding of web development technologies and methodologies to address technical challenges and implement best practices.
• Challenge the status quo to solve user pain points and improve engagement within the Beem ecosystem.
• Implement rigorous testing protocols to validate website functionality, usability, and performance.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders and vendors to coordinate quality assurance testing and issue resolution.


Collaboration & Leadership

• Partner with Project Manager and Integration Lead to maximize project success.
• Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
• Resolve anticipated or unexpected issues to ensure smooth implementation of deliverables.
• Adapt and rally teams in response to changing requirements and obstacles.
• Facilitate outcome-oriented workshops and meetings to move forward key decisions.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the project team.
• Provide leadership and guidance to project team members, including coaching and informal feedback.

A little about your qualifications:


• Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field
• or more years of related project lead experience for website development
• Experience building and managing customer journey mapping, site road maps, website information architecture, and other web documentation.
• Google Analytics mastery, experience implementing Google Tag Manager and Google Search Console, and extensive working knowledge of website standards and best practices.
• Strong experience optimizing a website for BC companies, with a proven track record of driving conversions through CRO.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) Designation is an asset.
• Prior financial services experience is an asset.
• Previous experience working at a digital agency or consulting firm is an asset.
• Proven experience and confidence in driving all aspects of the project’s process to keep the team focused and key stakeholders reassured, energized, and committed.
• An equivalent combination of the above may be appropriate.
