Responsibilities
Operations Management:
Coordinate daily transportation operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
Utilize TruckMate software to manage dispatch, routing, and tracking of shipments.
Monitor and report on transportation performance metrics and KPIs.

Logistics Coordination:
Communicate with drivers, customers, and vendors to resolve issues and provide updates on shipment status.
Schedule and dispatch drivers, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, including documentation and data entry.
Provide guidance and support to a team of drivers and logistics staff.

Compliance and Safety:
Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations within the transportation department.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain compliance with industry standards.
Participate in accident investigations and incident reporting as required.

Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for improvement within operations and propose solutions to enhance efficiency.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to implement new strategies.
Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve overall performance.

This is an office based position as well as visits to warehouses and loading docks
Monday - Friday - 12PM-8PM
Temporary Contract

Qualifications
-Proven experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field.
-Proficiency in TruckMate software is required.
-Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
-Supervisory experience is an asset.
-Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
-Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
