Cascadia Metals seeks an experienced and motivated Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. This role will be permanent, full-time, and will represent our Head Office's Delta location. The successful candidate will be responsible for a specific territory and will, therefore, work from the Delta office and travel to existing and potential client bases.
Skills:
- Proven business acumen
- A good instinct for sales and building relationships with customers
- Driven and results-oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Highly organized with a strong ability to track, manage, and follow through on details
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
- Ability to work independently and report to a sales supervisor and management.
Responsibilities:
- Achieving all territory business objectives, including sales goals and growth
- Developing, implementing and executing a territory business plan
- Prospecting / cold calling for additional business to create new customer relationships
- Maintaining existing customer partnerships, building strong and lasting relationships
with new customers
- Delivering superior customer experience to achieve account retention and growth
- Identifying and reporting market trends and competitor information with sales team members
- Maintaining a level of knowledge of products
- Supporting inside sales team where required
- Acting as a role model for Cascadia Metals standards, values and behaviour
Requirements:
- Vehicle ownership (driver's abstract may be requested)
- The ability for overnight travel (during weekdays)
- A post-secondary degree and previous experience in the steel industry are considered an asset
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior sales experience
