Our client is a leading manufacturing company based in Cambridge, Ontario, known for delivering high-quality products to their extensive customer base. Fast-paced environment, managing a high volume of large accounts. They're currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team on a contractual basis. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, combining the flexibility of remote work with the collaborative environment.


Position Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the accounts receivable process. This includes ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, collections, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling high-volume transactions and large accounts, with excellent organizational and communication skills.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Invoice Management: Generate and send out invoices accurately and on time to clients.
  • Collections: Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and proactively contact customers to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices.
  • Reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Dispute Resolution: Address and resolve any billing issues or discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
  • Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate accounts receivable reports and assist in the month-end closing process.
  • Customer Relations: Maintain positive relationships with customers while effectively managing the collection process.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the accounts receivable function.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to accounts receivable.



  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable, preferably in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic work environment.
  • High degree of integrity and professionalism.
  • Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
