Our client, a well established and growing law firm located in Etobicoke, is in need an entry level Legal Assistant to join its team.

DUTIES:

Prepare and draft correspondence Prepare monthly pre-bills Work on multiple transactions and matters simultaneously Organization and maintenance of lawyer files Scheduling meetings and maintaining lawyers’ calendars Administrative support, including opening and closing files and docketing Assist with responding to telephone inquiries, faxes and emails Assist with preparation of closing documents Maintain file and critical dates lists

REQUIREMENTS:

University degree or college diploma (Legal Administration or Law Clerk diploma preferred) Excellent oral and written communication skills Decisiveness and ability to carry out responsibilities with minimal direction/supervision Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Strong Microsoft Office Skills (Excel / Word / Outlook) Previous administrative experience is an asset. This is an exciting opportunity for a junior candidate looking to get into a real estate practice.
