Job Title: Legal Assistant/Law Clerk Job #: 16535Job Type: Full time, permanentLocation: TorontoSalary: $60,000Remote Flexibility: Hybrid Remote Flexibility after trainingOur client, a top-tier Toronto law firm is hiring a Legal Assistant/Law Clerk This firm has an excellent culture and many career development opportunities.- Law firm specializing In Land Development and Civil Litigation. - Recognized in Novae Res Urbis Top Ten Development Law Firm. - Office conveniently located in Downtown TorontoDuties & Responsibilities: - Provide administrative support to lawyers; - Preform title searches using Teraview; - Internet research; - Assist with conveyance related tasks; - Transcribe, prepare, and revise legal documents, contracts, and correspondence; - Opening and closing of legal files; - Organize and assemble document books; - Assist with evidence and hearing preparations; - Monitor and maintain lawyer calendars and emails; and - Other duties as needed. Requirements: - Legal Assistant Certificate or Law Clerk diploma from an accredited institution; - 2+ year's of experience in an administrative role in a law office - Close attention to detail; - Experience with Teraview; - Experience with Municipal law will be considered an asset; - Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and AdobePro; and - Excellent communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
