As the Accountant-Travel and Expense Operations you will establish and effectively operate all travel and expense systems and processes, leading or being a key contributor to process improvement projects, financial reporting and control re Concur spend (Travel, Entertainment, and G&A spend), troubleshoot and resolving system issues, and performing assigned administrative tasks.

What you'll do:

  • Travel and Expense Systems and Processes – configure, maintain and continuously improve all systems and processes. ​
  • Transaction Recording – accurately post Concur transactions across 10+ Business Units / legal entities ensuring stakeholder satisfaction​
  • Financial Reporting and Control – provide monthly reporting to Business Units for all aspects of their spend​
  • Monitoring and Control – ensure employees are abiding to expense processing protocols​
  • Process Improvement - Continually evaluate existing processes to identify efficiencies and make improvement recommendations.

What you have:

  • 4+ years of accounting experience performing various tasks including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statement preparation, etc. Some experience with FPA functions is helpful.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business processes and units, and internal travel policies​.
  • Detailed oriented – a keen eye is required to ensure all data is reported upon accurately.
  • Strong computer skills in excel, ERP and Cognos / Power BI.​
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate within a diverse team.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (Accounting or Finance)​ considered an asset.
  • CPA Designation (or working towards) considered an asset.​
