Our AI-powered travel platform provides corporate travelers with personalized recommendations based on their preferences, company policies, and budget. With real-time travel tracking, reporting, and cost analysis, our technology enables companies to optimize their travel programs and reduce costs.

About The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead with a proactive mindset and a focus on building a high-performing team and product. This role will report to the Head of Engineering and be responsible for managing engineers, driving accountability, and delivering high-quality outputs.

The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of our tools and technologies, as well as experience in project management, people management, or technical leadership. Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Engineering Management, Operations, and Product Teams to develop and execute strategic objectives and domain team strategies.
  • Lead technical planning for projects, maintain team velocity, drive accountability, and ensure quality and consistent output.
  • Communicate progress, roadblocks, concerns, and successes to engineering management.
  • Organize and lead meetings with external stakeholders as needed.
  • Advocate for team needs, provide technical guidance, and lead code reviews.
  • Provide regular feedback to engineers, assist with personal growth goals, and help with hiring and onboarding processes.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Proven experience delivering projects/products to large user bases.
  • Strong understanding of NodeJS, React, RabbitMQ, SOAP, Rest APIs, JVM-based languages, Kafka, ELK Stack, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and Druid/Superset.
  • Ability to pick and choose technologies, weigh pros and cons, and solve complex problems.
  • A strong track record of innovation and continuous learning is essential.
