Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement 6-week work plans.
- Prepare and submit budget estimates.
- Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, monitoring progress.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations on construction sites.
- Establish and implement quality control policies and procedures.
Team and Subcontractor Management:
- Coordinate and manage activities of subcontractors.
- Coordinate and manage activities of field team (contractors, labour, cleaner, etc.)
- Recruit, hire, and supervise carpenters and laborers.
- Select/recruit trade subcontractors (electricians, plumbers, window/doors, roofing, concrete,
siding, mudding/taping, cleaners, demolition, etc) and manage their schedules.
Material and Inventory Management:

- Create purchase orders and manage material procurement.
- Oversee inventory management and store returns.
- Coordinate material and tool deliveries and rentals.
Project Oversight:
- Evaluate daily operations and prepare progress reports.
- Ensure projects are move-in ready, adhering to high-quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
- Understand permit processes and coordinate required inspections.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with management, leasing, administration, and accounting departments.
- Foster a work environment with seamless communication and respect for all stakeholders.
- Promote continuous learning and growth within the team.
- Be a mentor and leader to junior carpenters and apprentice and help their goal
- Weekly meeting with management/owner

Qualifications
Experience and Certification
- Red Seal Carpenter certification.
- 10+ years of experience in residential construction and renovations.
- 5+ years of project management experience with full-cycle project management.
Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership, management, and communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient with software applications: Microsoft Office/Excel, monday.com (or similar), Adobe,
Company Cam, and Slack.
- Knowledge of fire separation requirements and fire protection devices.
- Ability to see into the future of the project and plan accordingly.
- Impeccable problem-solving skills.
Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s license (G).
- Own basic carpenter tools.
- Ability to travel to project sites up to 70% of the time.
- Home office setup.
