You as an Assistant, Project Manager will:

Review Contractor RFI’s and confirm accuracy prior to issuance to Consultants/Contractors and try to work towards a resolution; coordinate meetings between Contractor and Consultants to resolve any complex issues that may exist; monitor and follow up for response in a timely manner.Work alongside and regularly communicate with owners, architects, contractors, and engineers.Tracking of project deliverables and coordinator with other project team members to ensure project deliverables are progressing on schedule to meet timelines administration and management of CCDC Contract compliance, tracking of changes and deliverables.Conduct quality control activities, inspection programs and periodic updating of construction progress recordsHas an understanding and assists in the application and collection of required permits, licenses and approvals from the jurisdiction having authority.Monitor FM policy/Procedure creation w/Authority on multiple projectsSubstantial and Final Completion administration on multiple projectsAttend pre-construction start up meetings, manage Consultants concerns and expectations, and ensure that Contractors are aware of the project’s expectations and requirements.Organize and manage regular Inspection & Testing on site as well as the QA/QC program in conjunction with the project Consultants and Third-Party Inspection & Testing CompaniesNegotiate between Architects and Engineers, and with all Contractors and consultants in working towards a positive resolution, while upholding the best interests of EllisDon and the project expectations

Is this the right role for you?

You have a construction related degree/diploma and three to five years of construction experience or an equivalent combination of technical training and experience Working knowledge of scheduling, project management and contract software Ability to support the project team and helping to solve construction issues in time sensitive situations 25% travel to Northern Canada, experience operating in Northern regions is considered an asset.
