What Will You Do?

Support the full-cycle recruitment process across various locations. Proactively source and maintain a pool of qualified candidates. Execute recruiting plans to achieve Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) Conduct intake calls with hiring managers to identify staffing needs, job duties, and qualifications. Communicate effectively with candidates to verify qualifications, skills and work preferences. Create job descriptions and job postings. Review and evaluate applicant qualifications and licensing according to established guidelines. Conduct prescreen qualification interviews, and coordinate in-person interviews. Attend in person interviews as required. Schedule pre-employment medical testing and coordinate background checks as required. Provide assistance to candidates throughout the recruitment process. Conduct regular follow-up with hiring managers. Extend offer letters, and coordinate with relevant departments to initiate onboarding. Provide weekly pipeline status updates to supervisor, operations, and driver services leaders. Track and maintain recruitment and hiring metrics. Maintain current knowledge of human rights and Canadian employment law. Use social media and professional networking outlets to identify and source candidates. Attend recruiting events to promote Erb’s reputation as an “employer of choice”. Provide support to other Recruiters. All other duties as assigned.

Who Are We Looking For?

Two years of recruiting experience is required with previous industry experience considered an asset. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high level of attention to detail required. Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills to work effectively with managers and candidates. Knowledge of Transportation industry and applicable regulations (DOT, FMCSA) is an asset. Innovative thinker, able to use and develop new sources for recruitment. Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a team environment. Exceptional conflict resolution, and negotiation skills required. Ability to adapt quickly and work well under pressure.
