As a Community Energy Program Assistant, you will work collaboratively within the Community Energy team to deliver climate mitigation programs in support of the Calgary Climate Strategy and Action Plans. You will support the development and implementation of climate financing programs, including the Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP) and the rollout and sustainment of energy labelling, benchmarking and incentive programs. This position will also support program planning and development, communications, and best practice research. Primary duties include:

Address customer inquiries, coordinate and complete application reviews, track incentive and financing allocations, records and data management, and program performance monitoring and reporting. Conduct research, document and procedure creation, and tracking and monitoring process creation. Support communications and marketing initiatives related to community energy programs. Conduct directed research on best practices and innovations in municipal climate mitigation programs and make recommendations for program improvement. Qualifications  A 2-year technical diploma in Energy, Environment, Science, or a related field and at least 1 year of experience in environment, energy, climate or project administration; OR A 2-year diploma in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related discipline and at least 2 years of experience in environmental, energy, or climate project support. Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint is required. Success in this position requires analytical thinking, research, critical reasoning, problem-solving, and strong communication skills.
