Manager Business Development, Merchant Relationships Remote Overview Being a Business Development Manager means creating strong business relationships with dealers in the Automotive industry. We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our Consumer Financing Services Ontario Sales Team, based in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) – West. You will develop and implement action plans and business development strategies based on established business strategies. You will work with automotive dealerships in the GTA West (Brampton/Caledon, Bolton, Orangeville, North York Corridor) to enhance our National Bank brand in the market, help grow our loan portfolio and increase our market share. Responsibilities Identify emerging business opportunities in the market and make recommendations regarding those opportunities. Execute a business plan and be nimble in adapting the plan to changing market conditions and realities in your territory. Establish and maintain effective communication with dealers and various other internal parties across all related business lines. Establish a preferred relationship with clients and ensure client satisfaction by providing personalized service. Increase the visibility of the Bank's products and services by taking part in various external activities, industry shows and related events where required. Requirements Completed Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years' relevant experience or completed master's degree in a related field and three years' relevant experience. Ready to travel within the designated territory; 80% travel required. Experience and demonstrated success in B2B business development. Experience in account management, sales and customer service. Experience in the Indirect Consumer Financing industry or leasing. Valid driver's license and ability to maintain a home office. Travel expenses reimbursed in accordance with bank policy.
