Overview You will drive SMB sales (Small and Medium Business) through our shareholder banks across the assigned regional markets, ensuring the pre‑set yearly targets are met. The regional sales targets include net new merchant targets, cross‑sell to existing merchants targets, and an overall revenue target. This merchant‑facing role requires a sales consultant to spend multiple days each week at assigned BMO/RBC bank locations, building relationships with bankers, educating them on Moneris solutions, and prospecting and signing up new clients. The consultant will gain deep knowledge of Moneris solutions and match customers’ wants and needs to appropriate payment solutions, working cross‑functionally to move opportunities through the sales funnel to successful sales. Location You will be based in our Burnaby office and will work in a hybrid model. Reporting Relationship You will report to the Manager, SMB Regional Sales. Posting Type Replacement. Salary Range The expected base salary range for this role is $41 K to $70 K plus commission. What You’ll Do Manage client relationships from pre‑sales through to post‑sales set‑up and integration. Develop business relationships with assigned accounts and help create proposals and presentations targeted at solving the needs of prospects and existing clients. Achieve and maximize card manufacturing revenues target. Negotiate pricing, contract terms and conditions to ensure pricing and terms reflect the achievement of corporate goals. Provide input to Marketing and Product Development on important products and initiatives to close gaps in current product offering and client segments. Drive execution for customer acquisition, speed‑to‑market, ease of integration, and service levels. Create forecasts, sales reports, and ongoing status reports. Ensure and educate on compliance, operating procedures and payment industry trends to the sales team and clients. What You Bring Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing or a related field. Minimum 2 years of strategic sales or account management or business development experience with a record of accomplishment and excellent sales results, customer conversion and retention in a demanding, fast‑paced, complex environment. Proficient in Microsoft Windows/ Microsoft Office applications. Nice‑to‑have Previous experience in the payment industry considered an asset.
