Technical Business Analyst / Tester (SDET) We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Business Analyst / Tester (SDET) with strong analytical, testing, and communication skills for a major Canadian Financial Institute. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with Parasoft SOA Test , solid Excel, SQL, and Python skills, and the ability to work across technical and business teams. Capital Markets experience is a strong asset. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements. Design, develop, and execute automated test cases using Parasoft SOA Test . Perform API, integration, and system testing across complex enterprise systems. Develop test data strategies and perform advanced data validation using SQL . Use Python to support automation, data processing, and custom testing utilities. Prepare detailed test plans, test scripts, and test summary reports. Drive defect management, root cause analysis, and triage efforts with development teams. Communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams. Contribute to continuous improvement of testing frameworks, processes, and documentation. (Preferred) Apply knowledge of Capital Markets workflows, trade lifecycles, and financial products to enhance testing and analysis quality. Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in a BA/Tester/SDET role. 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with Parasoft SOA Test (API, web services testing). Strong proficiency in SQL for complex queries and data validation. Practical experience with Python in a testing or automation context. Strong communication, documentation, and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in an Agile environment. Nice to Have Experience in Capital Markets , trading systems, or financial products (equities, fixed income, derivatives, FX, etc.). Familiarity with CI/CD tools and test automation frameworks. Exposure to cloud‑based environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
