We offer a wide range of products, from the Ubuntu operating system to full enterprise solutions in infrastructure, applications, storage, cloud, containers, databases, message queues, identity, observability, analytics, machine learning, and web publishing. Canonical provides licensed enterprise software, commercial support, managed services, consulting and training to customers deploying Ubuntu or open source applications on cloud, in data centers or on IoT devices. We are a distributed organization of just over 1,000 colleagues in 70+ countries and $250 m in revenue. We are not a quick‑hire company. Our selection process is long and requires substantial work from applicants. Successful applicants can expect three to six months to receive an offer. We seek ambitious, long‑term thinkers who understand the rise of open source and the drivers of enterprise procurement. Responsibilities Represent the company, its solutions and software in your territory. Build and execute a territory plan prioritizing outreach and prospecting. Develop new pipeline through outreach, local marketing, and industry events. Close contracts to meet and exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets. Maintain accurate pipeline data and forecasts within Salesforce. Manage customer relationships and interactions through all stages of the sales cycle. Collaborate with field engineers to propose solutions that solve customer business problems. Work with customer success to identify growth opportunities. Build productive relationships with key decision makers. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree, preferably in engineering or computer science. Experience with open source technology and solutions. Experience in enterprise software or technology sales planning and execution. Track record of achievement in sales targets and new account wins. Detail oriented with effective follow‑up. Self‑discipline and motivation to succeed in a distributed team. Professional written and spoken English, plus any local language appropriate to your target market. Ability to travel for customer engagements, industry events and company events. Additional Skills of Interest Vertical experience in finance, telco, health, energy, public sector, or tech. Experience speaking at conferences or industry events. Compensation & Benefits Competitive base pay with a performance‑driven commission structure.
