Commercial Lease Coordinator

The Commercial Lease Coordinator will provide administrative support related to the leasing, acquisition, and disposition of real properties in our extensive real estate portfolio of properties throughout North America. The incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and following up on all phases of the lease, acquisition, and disposition of files, including analyzing and tracking documents prior to execution and throughout the term, monitoring critical operational clauses, and tracking of lease renewals, terminations, amendments, etc. This role will help guide our Legal and Real Estate teams in the precise and timely completion of all transactions relating to real properties matters.
Your day-to-day
- Track documents with tenants, landlords and the Real Estate team, for all documents drafted by Legal department;
- Follow-up on upcoming renewals for the Leasing department and monitor negotiation process;
- Create lease abstracts;
- Generate leasing & compliance reports;
- Prepare various notices and legal letters to landlords, tenants and other parties (e.g. default, renewal, termination, etc.);
- During share purchase or disposition transactions, assist in the due diligence process;
- Review certificates of insurance to ensure they comply with lease requirements;
- Complete special lease administration assignments as required.
Your profile:
- 2+ years prior experience in Commercial/Industrial Real Estate;
- Prior experience with commercial lease management ;
- Understanding the concepts and language used in commercial leases
- Bilingual in English and in French, oral and written;
- Great problem solving skills;
- Ability to multitask and prioritize high level tasks;
- Impeccable attention to detail.
