Assistant Professor - Spacecraft Engineering The University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies (UTIAS) in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering is seeking a full‑time tenure‑stream faculty member to: (Start date: July 1, 2026). Responsibilities Conduct and publish innovative, independent research at an internationally competitive level, particularly in spacecraft dynamics and control. Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses, ensuring that design courses meet the professional engineering accreditation requirements. Establish and maintain an externally funded research program, including proposal writing and grant management. Mentor students and contribute to departmental initiatives. Qualifications PhD in aerospace engineering or a closely related field earned by the appointment date or shortly thereafter. Demonstrated record of research excellence: publications in top‑ranked journals, significant conference presentations, and/or forthcoming high‑impact work. Evidence of teaching excellence: teaching dossier, successful course evaluations, and strong letters of reference. Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer in Ontario (required for design course delivery). Application Requirements Cover letter. Curriculum vitae.
