Overview The Department of Mechanical & Industrial Engineering invites applications for a full‑time assistant professor in operations research. The appointment is at the rank of Assistant Professor, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. Responsibilities Develop an innovative, independent research program with an emphasis on operations research. Publish high‑quality research in top journals and present at major conferences. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, develop curriculum, and mentor students. Serve on departmental, university, and professional service committees. Qualifications PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field (or expected by appointment). Demonstrated record of research excellence in publications, conference presentations, and funding. Strong teaching record or potential, evidenced by a teaching statement and evaluations. Preferred undergraduate engineering degree and eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer.
