Assistant Professor, Environmental Nutrition Join to apply for the Assistant Professor, Environmental Nutrition role at Athabasca University . Base pay range: $73,486.00/yr – $102,977.00/yr. Position Overview The Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) is hiring for the tenure‑track role of Assistant Professor in Environmental Nutrition. Reporting to the Chair of Centre for Science and the Dean, this position has three key areas of responsibility: Teaching and Learning: Responsible for teaching, course administration, development and revision of existing nutrition and health courses and potential development of graduate or undergraduate level courses with a focus on environmental nutrition. Research and Scholarship: Responsible for the development and maintenance of a sustained research program that contributes to the faculty’s strategic research goals, including securing funding, disseminating knowledge, fostering collaborations, and supervising students. Service to the Community: Responsible for service to the university and the larger community through committee participation, supporting initiatives, outreach, and service to the discipline. Candidate Requirements PhD in Environmental Nutrition (PhD in a related discipline may be considered). Research experience in environmental nutrition, nutritional science, human food systems, Indigenous health, food science and security, or public health nutrition. Experience working with rural and northern communities, including Indigenous communities, that demonstrates a lived Indigenous worldview will be strongly considered. Evidence of teaching excellence and familiarity with open and online education encouraged. Strong commitment to teamwork and student success. Additional Information Seniority level: Entry level.
