Overview SMB Account Executive (ecommerce) – Rewind Join Rewind, a fast‑growing Canadian SaaS company that protects cloud data for businesses of all sizes. Our focus is on backup solutions for platforms such as Jira, GitHub, Confluence, and Shopify. Base Pay Range CA$65,000.00/yr – CA$85,000.00/yr (variable compensation included) Responsibilities Run a high‑velocity, full‑cycle sales process for small to mid‑size Shopify merchants: qualify inbound interest, lead concise discovery, deliver value‑driven demos, and close scalable revenue. Maintain accurate pipeline hygiene in Salesforce and leverage AI tools to streamline research and follow‑ups. Prioritize and respond to inbound leads from the Shopify Marketplace and marketing channels; manage a steady volume of opportunities to drive predictable monthly revenue. Experiment with messaging, sequences, and offers to improve conversion rates across the funnel. Run targeted outbound to high‑potential merchants within defined ICP ranges and engage with Shopify ecosystem partners and agencies to uncover new opportunities. Represent merchant needs internally with clarity and empathy; partner with Customer Support and Customer Success to ensure smooth onboarding and long‑term value. Participate in team learning rituals and support a culture of experimentation and accountability. What You’ll Bring 1+ year of closing experience in SMB SaaS or 1–2 years as a high‑performing BDR/SDR ready for an AE role. Understanding of ecommerce fundamentals, app ecosystems, and merchant pain points. Strong discovery and communication skills; ability to explain value clearly without jargon. Growth mindset: resilient, curious, and comfortable being uncomfortable. Commitment to trustworthy, customer‑centric, respectful interactions. Nice to Have Direct experience with Shopify (sales, merchant, or agency/app environment). Experience selling data protection, security, dev tools, or other technical SaaS. Familiarity with ecommerce platforms beyond Shopify (e.g., BigCommerce, Magento). Prior quota‑carrying ownership in a high‑velocity motion. Comfort with running fast experiments across outreach, messaging, or demo structure. Location & Working Hours This role is remote across Canada, with a preference for candidates in Eastern Time (EST), ideally in Toronto or Ottawa. Compensation Philosophy The base salary will vary based on market and individual qualifications. The listed range is a guideline and may be modified. Pay is just one part of total compensation, which also includes variable pay based on performance.
