ABOUT BREAKTHROUGH ACADEMY
Breakthrough Academy specializes in helping innovative entrepreneurs in the contracting industry grow their businesses by implementing excellent operational systems into their companies. We believe in the unlimited potential of entrepreneurship and help our Members (clients) break through barriers and take their businesses to the next level.
Our proprietary training program brings systemization to a company’s operations, develops an entrepreneur’s core business skills, and holds accountability to goals along with a clear business plan.
Breakthrough Academy is now nine years old and continuing to grow rapidly, with over 900 business owners developing in the program and an awesome team of 50 running the show.
We’ve had a tremendous track record of growth over the past 9 years. To fuel Breakthrough Academy’s future development, we’ll continue to add many exciting roles and people in the coming years. IN THE ROLE, YOU WILL BE:
- Defining comprehensive recruitment strategies and objectives across all audience segments
- Overseeing the full-cycle recruitment process, from identifying role needs to start dates
- Collaborating with teams to manage and streamline interviewing processes
- Living the brand values to engage with top talent and nurture a strong pipeline of potential candidates
- Showcasing the BTA employee experience and employee well-being to bring to life overall employer brand
- Proactively sourcing and identifying potential candidates through various channels
- Participating in the role development for new roles by supporting the creation of job descriptions, performance metrics and, organizational alignment
- Researching and attending networking events to expand our network and brand exposure
- Assisting in implementing applicant tracking systems and technology tools
- Reporting on recruitment metrics to ensure effectiveness and drive strategy
- Hiring and collaborating with external recruitment agencies when necessary
- Driving the communications of our internal brand experience to the external market
- Developing collaborative partnerships with internal stakeholders and industry professionals
- Building and maintaining a network of potential candidates and key influencers
- Collaborating with departments and supporting hiring managers with interview guidelines and skills training programs
- Implementing and managing an employee referral program effectively
- Establish and communicate relevant recruitment policies, procedures, and practices
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 5+ years of experience in a senior recruitment role, with a strong track record of successfully hiring for various roles, including professional-level roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- Experience in talent sourcing with online platform marketing (LinkedIn, Instagram, etc), direct head hunting, and team networking
- Experience in marketing and promoting a strong employer brand to prospective candidates
- Good knowledge of all interview, assessment, and selection techniques
- Experience working with an applicant tracking system (ATS)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Must be available to travel to our awesome in person Member & Team Events and to our shared office space in Vancouver, BC
- Must be able to work in Canada & located in Greater Vancouver, Vancouver Island, or, Calgary
