Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain financial models for M&A transactions. Ensure models are accurate, robust, and tailored to the specific needs of each transaction.
- Perform valuation analyses using various methodologies, including cash flow, precedent transactions, and comparable company analysis.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations that effectively communicate financial model findings, transaction insights, and strategic recommendations to clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with clients to understand their transaction objectives, provide expert guidance on financial modeling. Continuously enhance modeling techniques and methodologies to improve accuracy and relevance.
- Work closely with other team members, such as legal and tax, to ensure alignment and integration of financial models with broader transaction processes and strategies.
- Conduct rigorous reviews and validations of financial models to ensure they meet quality standards, regulatory requirements, and client expectations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field required
- CPA, CFA or comparable professional certification preferred
- Experience with a start-up organization and/or a large professional services organization
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- A self-starter who is comfortable working remotely and in an unsupervised environment
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- The successful candidates must be able to travel with Canada and the USA.
