Your New Role


The Senior Development Manager is a highly entrepreneurial position, responsible for leading and executing all aspects of development projects. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of commercial and mixed-use residential developments, including acquisitions, site selection, market analysis, financial modeling, design, entitlement, and construction. The Senior Development Manager will build and lead project teams, and work closely with third-party sales, marketing and branding agencies. You will liaise with the in-house construction team to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.


Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, this position offers excellent career growth with opportunities to advance into more senior roles such as Director of Development or VP Development.


What Sets You Apart


The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a dynamic environment and has proven success managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.


A university degree in Architecture, Planning, Commerce, or a related field, along with over ten years of relevant experience in development and construction, ideally in a leadership role is required. A strong understanding of multi-family residential, industrial, and commercial development is essential. You will need strong organizational, communication, and real estate financial acumen with a deep understanding of the real estate development process and a passion for placemaking. Strong proficiency in municipal zoning bylaws, the BC Building Code, and the Vancouver Building Bylaw (VBBL) is required. This combination of technical knowledge, leadership experience, and industry expertise will set candidates apart in effectively managing complex projects from start to finish.
