Our key retail partners include MINISO, T&T Supermarket, Sukoshi Mart, and Oomomo, where we provide tailored product assortments, merchandising support, and marketing solutions to meet consumer demand.Our operations span the full wholesale distribution cycle from global sourcing and import logistics to product allocation, sales reporting, and retail support. By combining efficient supply chain management with strong retail partnerships, Nakama Trading delivers value both to international brand owners seeking market expansion and to Canadian retailers seeking access to in-demand Asian beauty products.Key Duties and Responsibilities: Plan, direct, and evaluate sales activities to achieve company revenue targets in wholesale beauty and personal care distribution Design and implement strategies to expand brand penetration into major Canadian retail chains and specialty stores Build and maintain strong business relationships with key retail partners including MINISO, T&T Supermarket, Sukoshi Mart, and Oomomo Negotiate pricing, product assortment, and merchandising agreements with retail buyers and procurement teams Supervise day-to-day sales operations, including wholesale order processing, allocation of imported product shipments, and coordination with logistics Monitor sales reporting, retail performance data, and inventory levels to adjust strategies and maximize sell-through Recruit, train, and supervise sales staff and account executives, providing guidance on client management and product knowledge Set performance targets and conduct regular evaluations to ensure sales team meets corporate objectives Identify and pursue new retail and distribution opportunities in Canada and international markets Collaborate with Asian brand owners (Japanese, Korean, Chinese) to develop go-to-market strategies tailored to Canadian consumer demand Work closely with marketing teams to design in-store promotions, product displays, and merchandising strategies to drive consumer engagement Provide retail partners with training, promotional materials, and product education to enhance brand visibility Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for senior management Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities, evaluate ROI of marketing initiatives, and adjust business plans accordingly Ensure all product sales comply with Canadian import, labeling, and safety regulations Liaise with suppliers in Asia to coordinate bulk orders, shipment schedules, and product compliance documentationQualifications: Progressive experience in retail or wholesale sales management, preferably in the beauty, cosmetics, or personal care industry Familiarity with Asian beauty and personal care brands, consumer preferences, and Canadian retail distribution networks Proven ability to lead and supervise sales teams, mentor staff, and manage performance against organizational targets Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to liaise between management, logistics, and retail partners. Education in commerce, marketing, boutique management or a related field is an asset; however, substantial experience in retail or wholesale trade management may substitute for formal education.
