Location Safety Manager – Winnipeg, MB At First Student, safety isn't just a priority—it's our way of life. Our Location Safety Managers play a key role in ensuring safe, reliable transportation and outstanding customer service. In this leadership role, you'll champion safety initiatives, guide training programs, and maintain compliance standards, all while fostering a positive and supportive workplace. What You’ll Do Oversee driver hiring and compliance processes. Provide leadership and mentorship to location trainers. Investigate accidents, incidents, and workplace injuries; determine root cause and corrective actions. Prepare and submit compliance documentation; maintain accurate records. Deliver safety training to drivers and attendants, including passenger management. Conduct driver road checks and performance evaluations. Supervise staff responsible for safety, hiring, and training. Analyze safety trends and prepare reports to drive continuous improvement. What You Bring 2-3 years of transportation or safety-related experience. Knowledge of Canadian federal and provincial safety regulations. Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively. Creative problem-solving skills for safety challenges. Reliable attendance and punctuality.
