Job Summary:


The E-Commerce Merchandiser (reports to Marketing Manager) plays a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing the online shopping journey for customers. This role demands a blend of creative and analytical skills to optimize site navigation, content placement, and visual aesthetics across various pages, including the homepage, product pages, and landing pages. The goal is to elevate the customer experience, drive conversion rates, and support the company's marketing and growth strategies across Canada and the US. This is a full-time, permanent hybrid position offering a dynamic and collaborative work environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Website Maintenance: Regularly update the e-commerce website’s content (including but not limited to banners, collections, menus, product order, product highlights) to align with the marketing calendar, ensuring it reflects the latest promotions, launches, and seasonal trends.
  • Visual Design: Conceptualize and implement visually appealing banners/content blocks for the homepage, landing pages, and search results pages, creating an engaging and seamless shopping experience for users.
  • Promotional Execution: Lead the execution of all website visual updates for product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns, ensuring timely and accurate representation online.
  • Layout Optimization: Continuously evaluate and refine the website's layout and design elements to drive growth and improve conversion rates. Utilize analytics tools and conversion data to inform decisions and recommend improvements.
  • Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging e-commerce apps, and evolving shopping behaviors. Leverage this knowledge to benchmark performance and adopt best practices that enhance the customer journey.
  • Brand Storytelling: Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop and execute a cohesive brand narrative that resonates with consumers across all touchpoints of the business.


Analysis & Data Management:


  • Website Audits: Conduct thorough and regular audits to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of website data, including product details, images, collections, and translations.
  • Shopify Optimization: Deep understanding of current Shopify integrations, optimizing them for an improved customer experience. Evaluate and recommend new tools and integrations that could enhance site performance.
  • Data-Driven Design: Utilize Shopify analytics and other data sources to make informed updates and visual changes, enhancing user experience and boosting conversion rates.
  • Discount Code Management: Create, manage, and oversee all discount codes used for promotions, affiliate marketing, and other strategic initiatives, ensuring they are correctly implemented and tracked.
  • Performance Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive website performance reports, focusing on promotional effectiveness, growth metrics, and other key indicators. Use these insights to inform future merchandising strategies.


Qualifications:


  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of experience in merchandising.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in software and analytics tools.
