Position Type: Contract to hire for 6 Months



Job Description:

Process Systems Integration (PSI) is the automation and systems integration, offering services such as mechanical and electrical engineering, controls design, PLC/HMI and robot programming, site start-up support, project management, consulting, maintenance training, and health & safety reviews. Senior Automation Specialists report to the Engineering Lead, handling all technical aspects of project execution independently or as part of a team.


Key Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Health and Safety: Adhere to PG Safety Policy, maintain OHS knowledge, and ensure safe working practices.
  • Business Development and Sales: Support Account Managers in technical reviews and identify potential projects.
  • Operations: Participate in project design, development, and management, and ensure efficient staffing.
  • Technical: Engage in mechanical and electrical engineering, programming, and provide technical support to customers.
  • Financial Planning and Budgeting: Contribute to project-specific budget reviews and sales planning meetings.
  • Human Resources: Adhere to company policy and monitor personal and company growth.


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Post-secondary diploma or equivalent literacy in Engineering, Automation, or Robotics.
  • Mandatory proficiency in computerized reporting systems and word processing/spreadsheet software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Resilience to manage unequal workloads and maintain positive interactions with various stakeholders.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitudes with experience in industrial control systems.
  • Ability to work with diverse vendors' hardware and execute responsibilities effectively.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills and quick learning curve for new systems.
  • Effective time management and coordination with other departments.
  • Capability to coach and provide feedback to team members.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for domestic assignments.
