Job Title: Applications Engineering

ATS Automation is seeking a highly skilled Applications Engineer to join our team. As an Applications Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing factory automation systems, preparing and writing technical proposals, and working closely with customers to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conceptual development, pricing, and writing detailed technical proposals for automation equipment and projects
  • Assisting engineers and technical staff in design and development of products, systems, processes, and equipment
  • Providing sales presentations to customer personnel and obtaining detailed estimates of time, quantities, labor, and material costs
  • Assembling and collecting technical information and customer specifications to prepare detailed proposals
  • Analyzing material and writing clear, concise language for initial drafts and revising proposals
  • Ensuring proposals are sent to customers by the most efficient route to meet deadlines
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in mechanical design, engineering, or equivalent
  • Minimum three years experience in mechanical design engineering with working knowledge of electrical design in an automation environment
  • Working knowledge of robotics, machine controls, and manufacturing processes, with ability to keep abreast of leading-edge technology
  • Ability to present ideas, concepts, and pricing information in a clear, concise manner suitable for technical audiences
