Financial Analyst

Financial Analyst - 18 month contract We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst for an 18-month contract role. This position provides financial support within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment and serves as the primary contact for post-award financial operations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal partners to deliver accurate financial analysis, reporting, and portfolio oversight. This is a hybrid role requiring regular on-site presence. About the Opportunity Serve as the main financial contact for assigned portfolios, providing guidance on budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and financial reporting. Monitor active projects and funding streams, analyzing financial performance, burn rates, and potential risks or deficiencies. Prepare reconciliations, financial statements, variance analyses, and other month-end or year-end reporting activities. Collaborate with internal teams-including Finance, Payroll, HR, and other departments-to resolve issues and improve financial processes. Support internal stakeholders through education, training, and ongoing communication regarding financial policies, procedures, and account management. About You Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. Professional accounting designation (or working toward one) and strong knowledge of GAAP or comparable financial standards. Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting processes. Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and experience working with financial systems; ability to learn new applications quickly. Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
