About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced
Senior Financial Analyst
to support a leading bank with
quarter-end and year-end book closings
. This is a
2–3 month contract
with an
ASAP start
, ideal for professionals with strong
banking experience
and an understanding of
wealth management
.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in
    quarter-end and year-end closing of financial books
    .
  • Prepare
    journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
    accurately and on time.
  • Analyze financial results, identify discrepancies, and support corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support month-end reporting and ad hoc financial analysis as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven
    banking experience
    , preferably with
    wealth management exposure
    .
  • Strong experience in
    quarter-end and year-end closings
    and
    journals
    .
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Excel and financial systems; experience with banking ERP systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work
    3–4 days onsite in Toronto
    .
