Rosemead House boasts 28 unique guest rooms, each meticulously designed to provide the ultimate experience for our guests. Every room offers its own distinctive decor, ensuring that no two stays are the same. Whether a guest is seeking the charm of vintage elegance or the comforts of contemporary luxury, Rosemead House has something for everyone.


Our hotel is also home to the Janevca Restaurant & Lounge, a culinary haven surrounded by beautiful outdoor patio spaces where guests can indulge in a sumptuous meal, unwind in our cozy lounge, or rejuvenate at our on-site spa.

Job Summary:

Join our dynamic team at Rosemead House as the Assistant Front Desk Manager, where you'll play a pivotal role in our hotel's operations. You'll work closely with the Hotel Manager, providing front desk operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and stepping up to lead the hotel team in the Manager's absence. Beyond operational duties, you'll spearhead exciting promotional activities for our esteemed hotel and restaurant, showcasing our unique offerings to the world. Additionally, you'll craft compelling social media content, enhancing our online presence and engaging with our community of guests and patrons.


This role is not just about management—it's about shaping the future of hospitality at Rosemead House and grooming yourself for career growth and advancement within our vibrant organization.


Key Responsibilities:


Front Desk Duties:

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Manage check-in and check-out procedures efficiently.
  • Handle guest inquiries and provide information about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Process reservations, cancellations, and modifications accurately.
  • Assist with billing and payment transactions.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready for guests.
  • Address and resolve guest complaints and issues promptly and effectively.
  • Train part-time front desk staff.


Hotel Management

  • Assist the Hotel Manager in daily operations and decision-making.
  • Supervise and manage hotel staff in the absence of the Hotel Manager, ensuring all departments operate smoothly.
  • Coordinate with various departments to maintain high standards of service and guest satisfaction.
  • Opportunity to be part of the planning and execution of new & creative ideas.


Marketing & Promotion

  • Work closely with the marketing department to promote the hotel and restaurant through various marketing initiatives and events. This will include communication with online travel agents and tourism.
  • Maintain engaging social media content to boost the hotel's online presence.
  • Ensure compliance with all hotel policies, procedures, and standards.


Qualifications:

  • Hospitality Management Diploma, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and social media platforms.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for marketing and social media.
  • Only Canadian Citizens or active Canadian work permits will be considered.
