Director, Business Development

Director, Business Development Canada In this role, you will lead strategic business growth initiatives, driving profitable sales across key markets and product lines. You will collaborate with senior management to develop and execute tactical sales plans, while identifying new opportunities and nurturing client relationships. This role requires a hands‑on, results‑driven leader who can inspire and guide a team, engage with industry stakeholders, and represent the company at trade shows and events. Success in this position will be measured by consistently achieving sales targets and expanding the company’s market presence. Accountabilities Develop and execute annual and quarterly sales strategies aligned with company objectives. Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities into profitable clients. Collaborate with marketing to generate and follow up on high‑potential leads and campaigns. Lead by example in business development, providing clear direction, reports, and follow‑ups. Foster collaboration with technical teams to maximize client solutions and profitability. Represent the organization at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings. Monitor and communicate business progress and emerging opportunities to stakeholders. Requirements Minimum of 10 years of direct sales experience, preferably in aviation, aircraft sales, or financial services. Proven ability to develop and execute sales strategies in dynamic, competitive markets. Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills. Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making capabilities. Ability to work independently and manage complex, confidential, and time‑sensitive situations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce.com, and other relevant tools. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and results‑driven with a strong customer focus.
