Job Title: Technical Sales Manager


Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated candidate to represent our Adisseo ruminant portfolio to dairy nutritionists, feed mills and distribution partners. They will work with the Canada Country Manager and Dairy Technical Managers (US, Global) as we build the business, set the strategy, and service our customers.


Geography: Canada – ideally situated in Ontario or Quebec. Home-office based.


Reports To: Canada Country Manager


Basic Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D in dairy nutrition or related field.
  • Understanding about the Canadian livestock and nutrition industry
  • 5+ years in relevant industry
  • Experience with ration formulation software (i.e. CNCPS, NRC)
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in Canada.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Expand and support the sales of Adisseo’s dairy portfolio including amino acids, specialty products, and mycotoxin management solutions
  • Execute a territory business plan while achieving sales targets
  • Actively seek out and engage with key decision makers and influencers including dairy nutritionists, technical advisors, consultants, purchasing/business decision makers, key feed mill/company personnel including arm length sales persons
  • Attend conferences and networking activities to maintain Adisseo’s reputation as an industry leader in animal nutrition
  • Prepare accurate and timely reports that keep team members informed of activities and challenges within the territory through utilizing customer relationship management software (Salesforce)
  • Maintain a personal development plan to ensure they are reaching their greatest potential


Additional Skills and Preferences:


  • 5+ years of experience in the livestock feed industry
  • Bilingual (EN/FR) preferable
  • Excellent selling, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills
  • Experience in selling technical products or processes
  • Ability to work well in both a team environment and autonomously
  • Practical knowledge/work experience of dairy production systems
  • Knowledgeable about the dairy nutrition business in their geography
  • Base knowledge in amino acid balancing and formulation software (i.e. CNCPS, NRC) for ruminants
  • Advanced computer skills, competent in word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations


Travel Requirements: Approximately 50%
