Payment Processing Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the timely and accurate processing of payments, following hourly requirements and utilizing available tools and resources in compliance with industry guidelines and RBCIS policies and procedures.
  • Clear all assigned queues within established deadlines, with flexibility for occasional overtime and supporting coverage as needed, to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks.
  • Prioritize workflow to adhere to business KPI requirements while minimizing errors and mitigating operational and business risks.
  • Escalate suspicious transactions to the Assistant Manager or Manager within Payment Services.
  • Achieve a daily benchmark of processing at least 6.5+ hours of payments.
  • Provide timely input and feedback to Management to improve quality and productivity, aiming for straight-through processing and minimizing operational risks and sundry losses.
  • Participate in continuous learning by engaging in self-development plans, coaching, cross-training, and job-shadowing.

Qualifications:

Must-have:

  • College or University Degree (preferably from a Canadian College).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work independently with technology.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of MILVUS, SWIFT, RBC Express, and BESS systems.
  • Experience in payments processing.
