The Manager of Payment Systems and Processing will lead and oversee the end-to-end operations of the organization's payment systems. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of payment technologies, transaction processing, compliance, and risk management. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to ensure seamless, efficient, and secure payment operations, contributing to a superior customer experience and the company's financial health.

Leadership & Strategy:

1. Develop and execute strategies for optimizing payment processing systems and workflows.
2. Lead a team of payment processing specialists, providing coaching, guidance, and performance management.
3. Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and regulatory changes to drive continuous improvement.

Payment System Management:

1. Oversee the implementation, operation, and maintenance of payment processing systems.
2. Collaborate with IT, finance, and product teams to integrate payment solutions with organizational platforms.
3. Identify and resolve issues in payment workflows to minimize downtime and transaction errors.
4. Ensure Chargeback disputes rates are within guidelines.

Compliance & Risk Management:

1. Ensure all payment processing activities comply with relevant regulations, such as PCI DSS, AML, and other industry standards.
2. Develop and enforce risk mitigation strategies, fraud detection measures, and security protocols.

Vendor & Partner Relations:

1. Manage relationships with payment processors, banks, and other financial partners.
2. Negotiate contracts and service agreements to achieve cost efficiency and superior service levels.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting:

1. Establish KPIs and metrics to evaluate system performance and team effectiveness.
2. Prepare and present detailed reports on payment processing trends, issues, and opportunities.

Customer Experience:

1. Work closely with customer support teams to address payment-related inquiries or issues.
2. Ensure that payment systems support a seamless and user-friendly customer experience.

Who you are & what you'll need to succeed.

Education:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Experience:

1. Minimum of 5–7 years in payment systems, transaction processing, or a related role.
2. Proven experience in a managerial or leadership position.

Skills:

1. Strong understanding of payment processing technologies and platforms.
2. Knowledge of regulatory requirements (PCI DSS, AML, etc.).
3. Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with payment gateways, merchant accounts, or fintech solutions.
2. Familiarity with emerging payment methods like cryptocurrencies, mobile wallets, or instant payments.

The target compensation range for this position is $105,000 to $140,000/annually. Individual salaries are determined by various factors including, but not limited to: candidate's qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience, as well as internal equity and market conditions.
