You'll be responsible for performing the technical support functions for Interac Corp. Debit products and services, including Mobile related projects. You will be reviewing functional, security and design specifications to ensure full understanding of what we build.

You'll be tasked with developing, enhancing and maintaining technical specifications, reviewing architecture and design, recommending an appropriate framework, reviewing deployment plans, DB scripts, supporting internal teams and partners for deployment activities, working with internal teams for defects triage and resolution.

This Payment Specialist role is responsible for working with Product to plan development and delivery roadmaps for Interac Debit.

This role will be a subject matter expert in EMV payments and API software testing.

You'll be responsible for:

1. Writing and maintaining payments technical specifications
2. Providing technical solutions for business
3. Providing solutions for process improvements based on industry research of industry standards and best practices, analyzing and applying them to our system
4. Technical support for various Interac systems
5. Java web application support
6. Using Agile methodology in all phases of the iterative software development lifecycle
7. Advising on test strategies within agile teams and with the wider tech team
8. Consulting with developers to create automated testing strategies (including unit testing) and test plans for development tasks
9. Providing support and speaking to external partners such as FIs and external vendors
10. Providing ongoing technical support and maintenance for systems and infrastructure
11. Writing APIs test cases and test scripts for functional, performance and automation testing
12. Investigating interoperability issues, debugging and finding root cause for production issues
13. Supporting client's integration test phase

You bring:

1. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
2. Strong EMV and payment knowledge and experience.
3. Strong expertise in Interac IMN / ISO messaging and in ISO8583 and ISO20022
4. Cryptography knowledge will be an asset
5. Database processing and ability to write complex SQL queries will be an asset
6. You have scripting/programming experience and experience with various tools to test Web Services & Web based modern applications
7. You have 5+ years of experience in API software testing using automated tools including, Soap UI, Ready API, Selenium, Jmeter
8. You have experience working with multiple internal stakeholders to understand requirements
9. You have strong knowledge of the development process for both large-scale distributed and centralized software applications
10. Experience in client end-to-end implementation
11. Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills to manage deliverables
12. Experience using test tools for EMV based testing
13. Experience in working with large technical documents and advanced knowledge of Word and Excel are strongly preferred
14. Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity
