Job Title: QA Analyst - BMC AppTune Specialist**

Location: Toronto (Remote)

Client: Large Canadian Financial Institution

Rate: Negotiable


Our client is in search of a skilled QA Analyst with expertise in BMC AppTune, specifically focused on IBM DB2 environments. As a QA Analyst specializing in BMC AppTune, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications within IBM DB2 databases.


Responsibilities:


1. **BMC AppTune Expertise:** Utilize your in-depth knowledge of BMC AppTune to analyze and optimize the performance of applications running on IBM DB2 databases.

  

2. **Testing and Quality Assurance:** Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure the functionality, reliability, and performance of software applications, with a focus on BMC AppTune configurations.

  

3. **Performance Monitoring:** Monitor application performance metrics and identify areas for improvement, leveraging BMC AppTune tools and methodologies.

  

4. **Collaboration:** Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, system administrators, and database administrators to troubleshoot performance issues and implement solutions.

  

5. **Documentation:** Create detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and performance optimization strategies for reference and future improvement.


Requirements:


1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  

2. Proven experience as a QA Analyst with a specialization in BMC AppTune, specifically within IBM DB2 environments.

  

3. Strong understanding of database concepts and experience with IBM DB2.

  

4. Proficiency in performance testing tools and methodologies, particularly BMC AppTune.

  

5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex performance issues.

  

6. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:


1. Certification in BMC AppTune or related technologies.

  

2. Experience with other database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).

  

3. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
