Manager, Business Development & Marketing Location: 700 – 595 Burrard Street, Vancouver, Canada Job Type: Full‑time Salary: $105,000 – $140,000 per year Who We Are At Boughton Law, we do things differently. The Position Boughton Law is currently seeking a talented manager to lead our firm‑wide marketing, business development, public relations, and communications initiatives. This is a key leadership role with broad impact across the firm. If you are a strategic marketing professional with the ability to elevate our profile and strengthen our market position, we would be pleased to hear from you. Develop and execute strategic marketing plans and programs, both short- and long‑term, to support firm‑wide, lawyer, and practice group business development objectives Foster business development by designing cross‑selling initiatives and developing competitive analysis initiatives Oversee the development of lawyer marketing and business development plans, along with the associated follow‑up programs and tactics Coordinate training and coaching for lawyers on marketing and presentation skills Prepare and administer the firm's marketing budget Direct branding strategy across all external communications and marketing initiatives, including the development of strategic messaging Oversee the firm’s activities relating to new business proposals, pitches, and RFPs Serve as a member of the firm's Business Development Committee Oversee and mentor the Marketing Coordinators Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field Marketing management experience is considered a strong asset Experience within a sophisticated multi‑disciplined professional services organization and/or law firm preferred Proven experience in training, mentoring, supervising and motivating staff Excellent communication, presentation and writing skills Strong strategic thinking and project management skills Proficient technical skills (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, WordPress) Enthusiasm for learning and a proactive approach to tasks Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the firm, including with shareholders, clients and cross‑functional teams Collaborative team player who is a self‑starter, takes initiative and is motivated by achieving tangible results Creative mindset with an eye for branding, visual design and video storytelling Salary and Benefits The salary range for this role is $105,000 to $140,000, which reflects the firm's reasonable estimate of expected compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will depend on a variety of factors, including the candidate's relevant experience and qualifications.
