The Executive Group also owns and operates the Executive Hotels & Resorts premium hotel chain with hotels located in Canada and the United States. **The Opportunity**
Reporting to the Senior VP of Construction and Development Manager, the Development Manager is responsible for assisting the Development and Construction teams in key areas on multiple projects from conception to completion.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Participate with team members on acquisition, city / provincial coordination, site and building design, permitting, design meetings, construction administration, and more with direction from the Senior Development team
- Prepare site investigation reports, cost at completion reports, project status reports and maintaining project files
- Display and utilize knowledge of real estate transactions, general contracting methods, be detail oriented and purpose driven to set and meet deadlines
- Communicate with all project stakeholders as needed for the success of each project
- Assist in preparation of financial analysis and budgeting for projects as required
- Monitor and guide project consultants and trades to achieve the company’s desired results
- May be required to travel on company business as required for projects
**Qualifications**
- 3 years construction/development experience
- Excellent professionalism, communication, and negotiation skills
- Experience working with commercial, multi-family residential, and other real estate
- Strong ability to tactfully persist and influence to achieved desired results
- Highly resourceful, self starter
- Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate sound judgment and impeccable discretion at all times
- Sense of urgency and excellent prioritization skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in meeting changes in project scope and direction
- Strong multi-tasking ability and organization skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possess a strong team orientation and contribute to a positive work environment
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills including but not limited to: MS Excel, Word, Project, Outlook, AutoCAD, Estimating Software
**Education**
- University or technical degree in construction, or a related discipline of min. 3 years
- BCIT ABET, CMGT, or UBC Urban Lands Credentials are an asset
- Some co-op experience is beneficial, but not required
**Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada**

**Salary**: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
