Office Manager & Finance Admin Type: Permanent, Full-TimeLocation: Downtown Ottawa, Ontario (Onsite)Salary: $75,000 – $85,000Benefits: Full benefits We are seeking an experienced Office Manager with a background working in a law firm. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of overseeing the day-to-day operations of a professional legal environment. This role requires someone who can manage administrative staff, maintain efficient office systems, and ensure smooth workflow across the firm. Key Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day office operations and administrative functions Supervise and support administrative staff, including reception and clerical teams Manage day-to-day accounting and banking including preparing bank reconciliations Manage schedules, meetings, and office calendars for lawyers and staff Maintain office supplies, equipment, and vendor relationships Assist with budgeting, expense tracking, and reporting Ensure compliance with firm policies and legal administrative procedures Coordinate onboarding and training for new staff Serve as a point of contact for clients, vendors, and external partners Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism Implement and maintain efficient office systems and processes Assist with special projects and ad hoc tasks as required Requirements We are looking for a leader to assume the responsibility of overseeing our day-to-day business operations, including accounting transactions for trust and general accounts. Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in an office management role Knowledge of general and trust accounting (preferably in a legal environment) Knowledge and experience managing day-to-day accounting and banking, including preparing bank reconciliations A degree or designation in accounting or finance would be considered an asset Ability to motivate and inspire a team through leading by example and training Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to multi‑task and work under pressure Must be detail oriented with strong organizational skills, within a team environment but also under minimal supervision Strong literacy skills, both verbal and written Computer literacy (Excel, Word, payroll/accounting software (PC Law an asset), internet, email, etc.) #J-18808-Ljbffr
