The full‑time appointment will be eligible for either a Clinician Teacher or Clinician in Quality & Innovation (CQI) faculty role at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Full Professor. The position is expected to be 60–70% clinical and 30–40% academic, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026 or another mutually agreeable date. Key Responsibilities Provide excellent clinical care of in‑patients and out‑patients with rheumatic diseases. Serve as liaison with primary care and supervise trainees in the clinical setting. Engage in formal teaching and scholarly activities, including teaching undergraduate and graduate programs. Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, knowledge translation, or other healthcare innovation initiatives (for CQI applicants). Qualifications MD degree. Certification in Rheumatology/ Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and licensure to practice from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Clinical expertise in complex rheumatic conditions, including systemic autoimmune rheumatic diseases and special populations such as pregnancy. Experience with point‑of‑care ultrasound and models of care in rheumatology is an asset. For Clinician Teacher: advanced training and/or a track record of teaching accomplishment, formal training in teaching methodology, teaching awards, leadership as a clinical educator. For CQI: advanced training in quality or innovation with evidence of scholarship (e.g., peer‑reviewed publications, presentations, or awards).
