Office Manager (with Bookkeeping) - Anvil Construction Ltd. Are you an experienced Executive Assistant who loves organization, follow-through, and anticipating needs - but feels limited supporting just one person? About Anvil Anvil Construction Ltd. is a growing commercial cladding company based in Nova Scotia, working on mid- and high-rise multi-residential projects. About the Role This role has overlap with an Executive Assistant position - but it goes further. You'll still support leadership and help keep things organized and moving. But instead of centering your work around one executive, you'll take ownership of the office, administrative, and bookkeeping backbone of the company. Many of our systems currently live in people's heads. This role helps turn that knowledge into clear, usable processes - and helps the team actually adopt them. This is a hands-on, multi-hat role in a growing company. It's ideal for an EA who enjoys ownership, systems, and making things work better. This Role Is a Great Fit If You: Are an experienced Executive Assistant, Office Manager, or Operations Admin Enjoy owning systems and improving how things work Are organized, detail-oriented, and trusted with sensitive information Lead through influence, not title Are calm, professional, and solution-focused Want broader responsibility and impact Align with values of Continuous Improvement, Grounded, and Committed This Role Is NOT a Fit If You: Want a traditional EA role focused on one executive Need a rigid job description to feel comfortable Prefer narrow scope roles with minimal change Expect all systems to already be built Often think "that's not my job" What You'll Own Office and administrative operations Leadership support and coordination Onboarding, records, and internal organization Safety and compliance coordination Bookkeeping (payroll, AR/AP, invoicing, reporting) Process documentation and improvement Experience That Helps EA, Office Manager, or Operations Admin experience Construction or project-based environment experience (asset) Bookkeeping experience Sage 50 (or similar accounting software) Comfort working closely with ownership Experience with EOS is an asset, not a requirement.
