As they continue to grow, they seek a dynamic HR Manager to join their team and support their mission.


Position Overview: The HR Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes. This role is crucial in fostering a positive workplace culture, enhancing staff performance, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be based in the GTA and able to commute to their Mississauga office.


Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and selection.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring a smooth transition into the company.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as the point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
  • Implement and oversee employee engagement and retention programs.

Performance Management:

  • Develop and manage performance appraisal systems.
  • Provide coaching and support to managers on performance management and employee development.
  • Identify training and development needs and coordinate appropriate programs.

Compliance and Administration:

  • Ensure compliance with all local, provincial, and federal employment laws.
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Administer employee compensation and benefits programs.
  • Conduct salary reviews and benchmarking to ensure competitive compensation packages.
  • Manage benefits enrollment and address employee questions about benefits.

Health and Safety:

  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct safety training and manage incident reporting and investigation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in the construction or roofing industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • CHRP or equivalent HR certification is preferred.
