The Remedial Measures Program is currently seeking three full‑time, 12‑month contract Administrative Secretaries to provide administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the program. The Administrative Secretary will report to the Manager and respond to a wide range of duties relating to the facilitation of the program contract requirements and will assist participants in accessing the appropriate program information to meet their remedial requirements. The position is located at the College Street site with working hours of 11:30 AM – 7:30 PM ET. Responsibilities Provide general clerical support. Perform telephone functions and register participants. Compile statistics on participant flow and disposition. Generate and follow up on reports. Handle financial processes. Type and edit documents. Enter data and manage general databases. Photocopy, fax, file, and scan documents. Manage spreadsheets. Complete other administrative duties as required. Support a workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork, and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements. Job Requirements Completed post‑secondary education. Three (3) years of general clerical, reception, or call centre experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Experience dealing with the public. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Well‑developed interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, tact, and courtesy. Professional, polite response to participants and efficient clerical functions. Flexibility with regard to types of tasks and possible flexible work hours to accommodate other provinces. Team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision. Proficiency in computer databases and software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Previous call centre experience preferred. Ability to work with participants of diverse ethno‑racial and cultural backgrounds. Government clearance required.
